My second series for Typophile is finally here. It took awhile, yes. I have been very busy doing work and other stuff, plus my mood swings and creative juices can be a b*tch sometimes, so yeah.

These recent works were brought about by how awesome Taylor Swift's 1989 is (of course I will gush about it here). Aside from that, I have included a few non-Taylor tracks: Jessie Ware's Say You Love Me and Tove Lo's Moments. I wanted to come up with more though but like I've said, creativity can be a b*tch at times. It just won't struck today.

Here are my works which I have tried to incorporate to frames, posters, and shirts:

I am a big fan of typography—when I say big, I mean BIG. Typography is just one of the many concepts I love about design. It sparks both creativity and smooth execution. For me, a good typography is something executed differently with words exquisitely placed beside each other, sometimes denoting figurative meanings.

I have created a few works before for our company social media campaigns and of course, for TMRP. My primary tool is Adobe Photoshop which makes it all easy breezy. Creating a typography is pretty simple as long as you know how to combine different fonts. Font selection is somewhat detrimental since some fonts ruin the entire feel of the work. Knowing how to put a few accents can also top up the overall feel. Knowing better layout is also important but it's something you can learn along the way.

Typophile is my new collection of works. I'm no pro at this but because I'm taking the time and perseverance to learn Adobe Illustrator, I might as well compile 'em. My first set is about short song titles—sshhh.. these have been on loop for quite awhile ;)

One of the few things I love about my job is that it allows me to explore things that are out of my line of specialty. In 2 years I spent working for this company, I was able to improve my Photoshop skills which I have learned by myself back in college. Other than that, I was also able to learn more about HTML and CSS coding, and Adobe Illustrator—something I refused to learn on my own. I am just fortunate enough to have a superior who supports and facilitates learning, and of course, the "eye" for design. Charaught.

Avy Series is a product of my Adobe Illustrator sessions. Very amateur, but looks a lot like progress. :)
